Welcome to Nabo - the newest and most exciting event space in town, paired alongside our beloved cafe, Mataya! Here, we've created a space that's perfect for any event, from intimate gatherings to larger celebrations. Whether you're planning a corporate meeting, a birthday party, or a wedding reception, Nabo and Mataya have got you covered.

On-Site Parking
Nabo offers convenient on-site parking located on the rooftop with access from Tuckey Street.You'll find up to 200 car bays available for your use.
Street Parking
In addition to our on-site parking, street parking is available nearby. Please note that duringweekdays, there is a one-hour time limit for street parking.
Parking Responsibility
Guests are responsible for their own parking arrangements. While Nabo provides on-site parking options, it's essential to ensure your vehicle is parked in compliance with any relevant regulationsand time limits.
We recommend arriving a bit early to secure your parking spot, especially during busy periods.

- Feel free to use our kitchenette, equipped with a microwave for your convenience.
- Stay comfortable with air conditioning and heating.

Mataya Eatery: Adjacent to Nabo, our café, Mataya Eatery, is open from 6:30AM to 2:00PM. Feel free to drop by during trading hours to enjoy a cup of coffee or a delicious meal. Food & Beverage from Mataya is welcomed in Nabo.
Shopping Convenience: For any last-minute needs or essentials, there's a Terry White pharmacy located in the same complex, towards Tuckey Street &
Public Transportation: Walk a short distance to the foreshore, Mandurah Terrace where you will find a bus stop, taxi rank & ride share point
Bottle Shop (Corner of Sholl & Gibson St): Just a short 100-meter walk from Nabo, you'll find a bottle shop – BottleO.
Woolworths: Adjacent to Nabo, there's a Woolworths supermarket located just 100 meters away..
ATM Access: A Commonwealth Bank ATM located right in the courtyard of Nabo.
We understand that you may want to add your personal touch to the space. However, to ensure the venue remains in excellent condition for all guests, please adhere to your decoration guidelines.
- Please refrain from using adhesives like Blu-Tac or tape on the walls or ceiling. Fixtures should not be attached to any surfaces.
- If you plan to bring decorations or items not provided by the venue, kindly seek prior approval from our event coordinators. We require you to bring all decorations with you within your booking time slot and not prior
- We kindly ask that you refrain from using glitter or confetti in your decorations, this will attract an additional cleaning fee.
- While we encourage personalisation, please ensure all decorations and items are removed at the end of your booking, within your booking timeslot. We dont have the ability to sort any decorations, props or personal belongings past your event schedual. The space should be left neat and tidy.
As per our booking contract the follow conditions apply.
Your booking time listed in your proposal & contract is the whole time you have access to the venue. You must allow enough time for set-up & pack-down within this contracted time. You will be responsible for coordinating any external vendors, guests & delivery services within your booking time slot.
Unique Pin Code: you would have received a unique pin code that will be active only during the duration of your booking. You will receive this code on the day of your event.
Timely Departure: you have been granted access to Nabo for the duration of your event contract. You access to the building has been set up around these times. It’s important you exit on time & promptly as door pin codes will expire and the alarm with auto set. Please note, for an emergency callout there will be a $200 on-spot fee payable.
If you have booked Nabo as a self managed workshop, we want you to use it as you need however we do expect, respect, & the venue be used with care & left in the same condition as your hired it. Here are some simple cleaning expectations to ensure a smooth transition for your event;
Cleaning Supplies: Cleaning products have been thoughtfully placed in the kitchenette area for your convenience.
Use of Bins: We've provided bins for your use to make disposing of waste. Anything you brig into the room must be disposed of or removed from the room.
Neat and Tidy: We kindly request that you leave the space as you found it. Please ensure that all food scraps are disposed of properly, and any hired plates, glassware, and cutlery are returned to the kitchen area. In case of spills, we appreciate a quick mop-up.
Prompt Cleaning: Allow ample time for cleaning within your booking duration, please ensure you've completed the cleaning process before your scheduled departure time.
Reporting Damage: If any damage or breakages occur during your event, please inform our event host before leaving to ensure proper documentation.
Hygienic Restrooms: Ensure that the restroom is left in a hygienic condition, and make sure all taps are turned off.
In our booking T&C’s it stipulates a cleaning fee might be charged post event in the case where the room has been left with excessive mess or a deep clean is needed.
Mataya Eatery is the solo catering partner for Nabo bookings. We have an extensive menu of food & beverage that is suited to almost all events.
- Outside food and beverages are strictly prohibited except for celebration cakes or cupcakes.
- BYO alcohol is only permitted with prior written consent and a corkage fee per guest applies.
- Any external alcohol brought onto the premises without written approval may result in termination of the event without refund.
Nabo is a BYO venue with prior approval by our events team. We charge a small corkage fee per guest that allows you to serve your own selection of drinks. Corkage includes glassware from our standard collection.
We dont have cooling facilities for large quantities for drinks, we encourage chilled drinks are delivered within your booking time in either eskies or ice buckets along with ice (if no other arrangements have been made with our event team). There is a bottle shop 100mts from the venue.
If alcohol is being offered as BYO or you would like us to provide a cocktail package as part of your experence, where you require a designated bar area, we have a bar package that includes one of our premium event carts, ice, cocktail equipment, wine buckets, glassware and a private bartender to help serve & shake cocktails for a minimum of 2.5hours.
The following service & RSA conditions apply;
Nabo & Mataya reserves the right to refuse entry or service to any guest who appears intoxicated.
Minors must be accompanied by a legal guardian and are strictly prohibited from consuming alcohol.
The venue may stop alcohol service at any time and terminate the event if guests breach RSA policies.
We dont have ant IT prodvider on site without prior arrangement however our friendly staff are pretty good at general problem shooting. You have access to the venues WI-FI, smart TV to project & white board. If your event calls for more production, we are happy to assist with local external providers.
- A security bond may be required, which will be outlined in your proposal or in equivalent conversations.
- The bond must be paid no later than 7 days before the event via a separate invoice.
- Bonds will be refunded within 48 hours post-event, pending a final venue inspection.
- The bond will be partially or fully retained if: There is damage to the venue, furniture, equipment, or fixtures.
- Additional cleaning beyond standard service is required.
- Unauthorised decorations, confetti, or glitter have been used.
- The event exceeds the agreed time without prior arrangement.
Yes, on certain days & times we allow Nabo to be booked by the hour where you manage all aspects of your event including set-up, pack-down & cleaning. Catering can be ordered separate to your booking if you require food or beverage for your event. We provide basic furniture and all the standard room amenities. See our event booklet for more information & time slots we allow bookings by the hour / self managed events.
Access into the front courtyard has 2 wheelchair ramps, the main room is on ground level with large electronic opening doors, the venues main toilet is wheelchair accessible. Parking in the area either road side or rooftop has disability / wheelchair friendly bays.
If you refer to our event guide, all our spaces have maximum and minimum group sizes listed.
In summary:
The main room can seat seat upto 45 in long table configurations. Workshop and conferences we suggest upto 35 to allow for guests all facing a central direction or a communal table.
Standing events we comfortably accomodate 55, while the space can allow for more, especially when we include the front outdoor courtyard. Larger events will need some additional planing as we need to extend more toilets to the booking.
The Summit (the boardroom) can seat up to 10.
Outside front courtyard, during the hours of 6.30am & 2.00pm, the courtyard is accessible by Mataya Eatery customers & Nabo clients. It’s a shared space between the businesses. After these hours, Nabo has exclusive use and we can help accommodate outdoor seating or high bars if you choose.
During Mataya Eatery's operating hours (6.30am – 2.00pm), our adjoining cafe, there will be Mataya Eatery staff on-site who can assist with your general queries & will be of service if you are ordering food / beverage through the cafe menus.
If you have booked an event with us that includeds a host, waitstaff or barstaff, we will have someone working with you until your event has concluded & we will take care of clean-up & pack-up.
If you have booked the space as a 'self-managed' event you will be hiring the space privately with a self managed packdown, clean and exit process that must be included in your hire times.
